Hearty Rigatoni Bolognese
There’s nothing better than this homemade rigatoni Bolognese for dinner! It’s so comforting and cozy, and hearty!
You’ll love the delicious Bolognese sauce, which is a wonderful meat-based tomato sauce simmered until perfection, tossed with tender rigatoni and, of course, served with a generous sprinkle of freshly grated parmesan!

INGREDIENTS
- 8oz Box of ProPasta Rigatoni
- 1/2 lb Ground beef
- 1/4 lb Ground Italian sausage
- 1 Small yellow onion, diced
- 1 Medium carrot, diced
- 1 Stalk celery, diced
- 3 Cloves of garlic, minced
- 2oz Pancetta, diced
- 3 tsp Thyme
- 3/4 Cup red wine
- 24oz crushed tomatoes
- 2 Bay leaves
- 1/4 Cup milk
- Parmesan, grated
- Basil, for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a large pot, cook and brown the beef and sausage, remove and set aside.
- Drizzle EVOO into pot, add onions, carrots, celery, garlic, pancetta, and thyme, cook for 4-6 min.
- Add wine, scrape bottom of pot, simmer.
- Add canned tomatoes and bay leaves, return cooked beef and sausage, stir and simmer for 30 min, with the lid partially covered.
- Meanwhile, cook ProPasta Rigatoni according to package directions, drain, rinse with cold water, and set aside.
- Add milk to pot, stir, then toss in cooked Rigatoni.
- Serve immediately with parmesan and basil
